Cantores Sancti Ludovici
The Cantores Sancti Ludovici is a Schola Cantorum (school of singers) dedicated to restoring traditional liturgical prayer in a parish setting. Establishing the Schola as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization provides a stable foundation for this restoration of traditional liturgy and Catholic culture.
Schola comes from the Greek σχολή for "leisure" or "rest." In the Catholic sense, this word symbolizes a way of life centered around the leisure of contemplation found in the sacred liturgy. From holy leisure springs forth other works and apostolates, such as teaching Latin, Gregorian Chant, and other liberal arts.
